“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”
-Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder
A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. —Lao Tzu

The intermediate leadership course is designed for mid-level managers to improve their ability to work through issues with their teams. The course starts with a brief refresher of what is covered in the junior leader course and a discussion on how these aspects have been implemented. This is followed by the areas of responsibilities of leaders, introduction to the psychology of leadership followed by the leadership model and philosophy, along with advanced leadership concepts and their applications. Practical aspects such as dealing with a team member’s terminal illness, a death in a team member’s family, cutting a person loose, how to correct a shortcoming, and more are all discussed. Practical exercises are utilized throughout to ensure that all participants leave the course with the ability to carry out the practical aspects of leadership.
